2025 Full Programme and Tickets released!

From May 6 to 13, for the fourth year in a row, STHLM DANS takes over Stockholm and Botkyrka, transforming the city into a vibrant celebration of dance. Experience performances in unexpected spaces—public squares, art venues, theatres, boxing clubs, apartments, and more. The full programme and tickets are now released: www.sthlmdans.se/program-2025/

This year, STHLM DANS invites you to explore the dynamic relationship between voice and body, with several performances stripped to their essence, highlighting the raw energy and rhythm shared between singers and dancers. In Mirlitons, the French dance scene’s enfant terrible, François Chaignaud, stages a captivating duel between dance and beatbox. Meanwhile, Taranto Aleatorio by La Chachi reinvents flamenco in its most unfiltered, punk-inspired form. With Dans in an Apartment by Paloma Madrid, your own living room can become a stage for an intimate performance between a singer and dancers.

The rhythm of the sea pulses through She Dreamt of Being Washed Away to the Coast by Lukas Karvelis, who also brings back his beloved Theo to the streets of Stockholm.

The political and collective body takes center stage in participatory works like ’Crowds & Power’ by Norrdans and ’Guerrilla’ by Cullberg/Renan Martins, which examine crowd behaviors through choreography. Our collaboration with Cinema Queer sets the world in motion with a special focus on queer dance films.

For young audiences and families, Microworlds by award-winning Czech artists Jazmína Piktorová & Sabina Bočková brings wonder to Farsta and Hallunda, while Krax Krax by Minna Krook offers an engaging experience for all ages.

Emerging talents take the spotlight with performances by Långtifrån Lagom Dance Crew from Botkyrka (featuring Afra Hosseini & Ama Kyei), SKH Dance Performance students and caterina daniela mora jara.

Beyond performances, our rich program of workshops, talks, and the fabulous Audience Club will also enable you to engage deeper with the craft of dance, in a 360 degrees approach. And, of course, no festival is complete without parties—expect plenty of chances to move together at Klubb La Reina and Guerrilla.

Join us this May for an unforgettable week of movement, rhythm, and artistic expression. Welcome to STHLM DANS!
